Each week in Reading our selections center around an Essential Question. This week our question asked How do community members help one another? We read about characters who helped each other in many different ways. On Friday we decided to help the eldest members of our community. We made these cute little turkeys to decorate their Thanksgiving tables. They will be delivered to the nursing home in Toulon in time for Thanksgiving dinner! It feels good to help others.
On Friday, November 14 Mrs. Bowles visited our classroom to teach us about turkeys. She read us a non fiction book and we learned many new vocabulary terms about turkeys. Then, we all got to make a turkey. It was lots of fun! Thanks, Mrs. Bowles!
A huge Thank You to our Room Moms, Stacy Unhold, Marjorie Daum and Teresa Wilkins for the awesome Halloween Party they threw for our lucky class! The children had a great time playing games and hamming it up for the camera. It is fun to see them cutting loose and enjoying a special day at school. Thanks again ladies. We loved it! |
